Chapter 7: How YOU can Start your Own Business and New Journey

Hello and welcome to the last chapter of my blog The Rise of Printify: A Success Story, this chapter is an easy and simple way to help you through Printify after signing up. If you're deciding whether you should start or if making your store will be a good idea, this blog will be here to help you! So, let's jump right in!

Signing up

Use an email and password or sign up with Google. It's that easy. 

Personalization Quiz

Take a 2-8 question quiz to personalize your experience so Printify can provide you with the best value.

Information

After finishing the quiz, you are directed to your new dashboard!
(Underline - Can be found on the side bar menu)

From there scroll down to Account and click it. This is where you will enter your business name, contact details, and address to receive product samples. 





Next you will go to Store Settings, this will be where you enter information for your store and change a few settings if needed to set up your store. 

Niche

Going back to your dashboard below the Store Setup Checklist is an AI-Powered Niche Generator, an AI chatbot will provide you with sample prompts and can generate a niche for your new store by your sentences. 

Making your first product

Once you are finished with your niche, you're ready to create your first product design. Below dashboard on your side bar menu is Catalog, this is where you will find more then 800 products ready for you to customize and design. Pick something that would match your niche and start designing. By uploading a design, using AI to make an image, to using provided graphics and templates, designing your first product will be easy. Preview your product design before saving to ensure its exactly how you want it. Once completely done at the bottom right is a button "Save Product" this will take you to the next step.




Product Details 

Mockups: If you see a mistake in your designs, you are able to fix it, if not then you can choose a title image, which will be the first image shown to your customer. 

Listing details: This is where you can edit your product title and description with an option to add a sizing table to your description.

Shipping: This shows you the eligible types of shipping for your product including the shipping cost, coverage, local delivery, and international delivery.

Pricing: Here you are able to select sizes, see inventory, and copy your SKU. You are also able to edit retail price, profit, and profit margin. Scrolling further you able to see production cost, buyer shipping cost, and the eligible shipping options for the product. 

Publishing settings: The first choice is product visibility; this will show or hide the product in your store. Next choices are for sync product details, this will sync the edited version of your product details to your store. This includes product title, description, mockups, and colors, sizes, and SKUs. Now you can save as draft or publish your product. 

Product Sample

Want to see your new product before your customers do? By ordering a product sample you can. Just fill in all your information and it will be sent to your home in 2-5 days. 

Connecting stores

By clicking your store name at the top of the side bar menu you can connect an excising store or add a new store to different platforms like Etsy, Shopify, TikTok, or Walmart. If you want to see your store right away Printify has its own Pop-up store to start selling instantly. Some stores are easy to sign up to but others are advanced or require a subscription to open, select compare integrations to see which would be best for you and your shop.
